Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who is currently in custody for the Renukaswamy murder case, was moved from Parappana Agrahara Central prison to Ballari prison on Thursday under heavy security. The transfer to Ballari Central Prison, known as the ‘Kala Pani of Karnataka’ due to its inadequate facilities, suggests that Darshan will be housed there for the foreseeable future. Should there be a court appearance, it is expected that he will participate via video call.
